Barry Michael – New BMI President. The Biotech Management Institute has expanded its management team with the additionof Barry Michael as President. He will join Chairman, Jim Hawkins, Ph.D., and Treasurer/Secretary/Founder, Carl Duncan, Esq. "I really believe in BMI’s mission to provide relevant management education and networking for Life Science start-ups and early stage companies throughout the D.C.Metropolitan region. Carl and Jim have been doing an outstanding job over the last three and a half years and I am excited to be joining their team. Though we are a lean, not-for-profit, all-volunteer organization with no salaries, rents or bricks and mortar, there was just too much for two people to do, even with all the outstanding help from our members.” Barry Michael bmichael@b-m-i.net

All Day Life Science Start-Up and Early Stage Financing Meeting – Feb. 17th ‘06. - A Success!  BMI’s Financing meeting, as promised, was an extremely comprehensive update on all aspects of this very challenging issue. Particular emphasis was placed on reverse mergers, mini-IPOs, and market makers. This latter topic was intended to provide a better understanding of the OTC and BB. One CEO's assessment: "I found the meeting well planned and educative."
